Hundreds of students in our Los Angeles and New York chapters were invited to attend exclusive early screenings of the highly-anticipated movie, Wonka. This once-in-a-lifetime experience included a red carpet photoshoot, giveaways, and a surprise visit by 鈥淲illy Wonka鈥� himself, Timoth茅e Chalamet!
Students and their mentors enjoyed lunch prior to the show, along with plenty of popcorn and classic movie candy throughout the screening. We had special guest emcees at both locations, and we extend our thanks to Josh Horowitz (NY) and Matt Iseman (LA) for supporting our All-Stars and bringing extra flair and energy to their respective events.
Everyone loved the film, and the fun continued well beyond the credits. In both New York and Los Angeles, Timoth茅e Chalamet took the stage to field questions from the students.
After the Q&A sessions, Timoth茅e announced that each student would be receiving a gift bag stuffed with great items generously donated by Xbox, Beats, Nike, and鈥攐f course鈥攐ur hosts, Warner Bros. They also received a copy of the new Wonka book and (fittingly) a chocolate bar.
In true Wonka fashion, Timoth茅e revealed that there was yet another treat: whoever in the audience had a golden ticket beneath their seat would win an extremely rare Xbox console designed to look like a Wonka chocolate bar! The winners at each location joined Timoth茅e and 91撸影视 President Andrea Baz谩n on stage to receive their prizes, which included additional Wonka-inspired Xbox goodies.
After Timoth茅e waved goodbye, he had one last surprise for the students. As they exited the theater, the Wonka star personally greeted each student and handed out the gift bags. Timoth茅e gave hugs, took selfies, and high-fived every student in attendance (and some adults, too!)鈥攁lways with a warm smile.
