About Our Chapter
After-School All-Stars provides free, comprehensive, year-round out of school time programs that keep students safe and help them succeed in school and in life. We want our All-Stars to be safe and healthy, graduate high school and college, find careers they love, and give back to their communities. Along with our school partners, we provide opportunities for students to develop skills, knowledge, healthy relationships, and positive habits needed to be successful in school and beyond!
Fall Registration
Our programs are provided at no cost through grants by the Florida Department of Education, Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers, the Children鈥檚 Board of Hillsborough County, and the United Way Suncoast.
Our Pepin – Riverview and Pepin – Tampa sites are currently at capacity and only accepting students for the waiting list. Please complete registration to join the waiting list, and a team member will contact you if additional spots become available.
WHAT WE DO
After-School All-Stars closes the academic opportunity gap for students in low-income communities and schools. Through high-quality staff, including Florida-certified teachers and experienced program staff, we offer transformative programs where students can develop the skills, knowledge, and habits needed to succeed.

We offer a holistic approach to extended learning and help youth develop the skills they need to take on opportunities and challenges to succeed in school and life. Our All-Stars participate in classes and activities that develop their skills, build their desire for mastery, and increase their levels of engagement.

For dozens of students at Memorial Middle School, the end of the regular school day is the beginning of an extended stay on campus. The school is one of 700+ sites across the US hosted by After-School All颅-Stars, a nonprofit that provides at-risk students with free, comprehensive programs like academic support and sports and enrich颅ment activities.
LEADERSHIP HIGHLIGHT
Joe 鈥疢angione听鈥痠s the Executive Director of the Tampa Bay chapter of After-School All-Stars. 91撸影视 partners with the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County Schools, and local community leaders to听provide academic and enrichment programs for children in the Tampa Bay area.听
Joe鈥� also worked for the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA for 25 years as a Program Director, Executive Director, and Vice President. He started his career at Child Care Services Branch and quickly moved up to oversee large facilities and program operations in Hillsborough and Pasco Counties.鈥疛oe 鈥痺as also the VP of Risk Management and Property for the Tampa YMCA. He oversaw the risk management and insurance program for the Tampa YMCA, which includes the administration of risk management policies, claims, litigation management, training, auditing and large capital improvement projects.
Joe 鈥痠s a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in social sciences. He has been married to his wife, Melanie, for 15 years, and they have two teenage daughters.鈥�听
